For 6 mana rather have a Consecrated Sphinx. Making insects is nice but not better than drawing 2 cards to the opponent's one. 6 toughness Sphinx blocks Thought-Knot Seer and survives as well as survives Chandra's -3 for 4 damage while this Locust does not.
That makes sense, I've never been too afraid of Marit Lage while piloting Plow decks. If the limiting factor was consistency then the Mirror could smooth that out, but it seems like that was not the decks weakness
A Grisel Oath shell seems about as good as it gets for this card: Children of Korlis is unplayable for obvious reasons and the untap clause is pretty irrelevant if you're about to play 21 cards worth of artifact mana.

That was already mentioned, but this card doesn't add anything to any strategy wanting to play Dreadnought that didn't already exist.
Yeah, I got nothing.
It's a very good card, I think, it's just that there's not a whole lot of space between Toxic Deluge at 3 and Supreme Verdict at 4. Both of those cards cover 90% of what Bontu's Big Day Out can do, and more situations besides.
@Serracollector I sincerely didn't mean to offend you, so I'm sorry if my post came off as rude. I've played Dragon Breath in my Oath decks within the past six months and I KNOW at least some people think that card is a joke. However, I did test the card before revealing that I was running it, so I had some anecdotal evidence of its efficacy.
The card you mentioned COULD be as broken as Time Walk in a Mentor deck, and probably more so in the right situation. The thing is that Time Walk is good in many, many more situations. Time Walk on turn one off a mox buys you another land drop against Workshops which is incredibly beneficial. Time Walk sometimes just cycles for a card, or it acts as bait for terrible players to counter at times where it's basically just a cantrip.
Insult/Injury is going to be a very bad top deck unless you've established a board position that is already immensely favorable to you. This makes it the definition of "Win More" in my opinion.
Since you're on cockatrice you should take a Mentor list, find some flex slots, and jam some games trying random stuff like that. Eventually you might prove everyone in the thread wrong. OR you might try some other idea, do something amazing, then you can screen shot it for us and make a post. That second type of post is something we'd all like to see.
I don't think its better than the others so you don't cut any of the engine cards for it. That means you're cutting a creature for it. But you can't tutor/company for it and it's a dead draw during a glimpse. Its strictly worse than shaman unless your thinking of a different elves shell. The kill through bridge is rec sage.
@Khahan I just noticed that this was also stated in the release notes: "If you control multiple As Foretolds, you may cast one spell for each of them paying 0." I'm gonna try some decks with As Foretold+Ancestral visions to see how it fares. If it turn out to be only good enough as a "for fun" card then so be it, no harm in trying and for fun is also fun ; )

Damage wears off is specifically referring to damage on creates each turn. Wears off means they reset and don't carry over to the next player's turn.
Normally damage wears off during the cleanup phase, however that step is being skipped by the card.
The card literally says "damage wears off" in the reminder text.

Does this have a home in (Paradoxical Outcome) Storm? I suppose it doesn't add to your storm count, but an uncounterable cantrip that can refuel your Academy seems pretty useful. Or is it too narrow to have an impact?
Minamo does the same thing but doesn't cost 3 and is uncounterable. Maybe in the "Academy" deck that's been posted before but I doubt in the current Paradoxical decks.
Minamo is legendary permanent only. This is any permanent. Minamo also doesn't cycle for for a draw if its not needed.

@evouga I agree this is probably unplayable. Instant Speed Braingeyser is better than Braingeyser, but this card is almost always just worse than Stroke of Genius. Stroke only has one U in it's casting cost, making it easier to cast off of lots of artifact mana, and it can be used on your opponent to end the game in decks like High Tide. This card can't do either.
There is a corner case where this card is good, though, and that's where you want to dig in your deck deeply and put a particular card in the yard. I could see Worldgorger Dragon considering this card, for example. Mana Drain into this in a Dragon deck might legit end the game, since you can draw protection and possibly Animate dead, then bin the Dragon. At the same time, EOT pay UU to bin my Dragon to set up a win next turn is not horrible in a pinch, either.
Now, all we need is for Dragon to be good again :)
Whether the cost is 2U or 1UU won't matter in 99% of the cases.
Looks like your connection to The Mana Drain was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
