@emopizza I also did some testing with song of the dryads and imprisoned in the moon. They seem corny but both offer good options to threats that the deck has issues dealing with like active planeswalkers. I cut them in the end because they didn’t have any interaction once they hit the graveyard and were too much of an investment to have countered.
I think they could easily see some play though as an answer to certain blue decks in the right build.
Now the for big news for 2018 - there's a lot of it:
Starting in January of 2018 Deal Me In Games will move to a monthly tournament, targeting the 2nd saturday of each month. This was the most common question I had from 2017 - "When are you guys moving to monthly?"
We will continue our invitational series with a point reset in January. As of January, all players points get wiped clean to 0 and we begin the process anew.
Entry fee will be changing a smidge. In 2018 we will go to a $35 entry fee, 100% of which goes to prize support. $30 will go towards that months fee. $5 will go towards the invitational support.
And finally Deal Me In Games will start a month long Vintage League Series. Each month for a $5 entry you can enter our vintage league. This is a 100% proxie league. All games must played in the store to count. Any time you and another league participant are in the store, you can play games. Prizes (100% of prize pool) will be given out at the end of each month based on total wins, win % and maybe a few other categories like most unique deck, best win etc. We'll support the most wins and win% first and if we have a big enough pool can branch it out from there.
Here's looking forward to 2018 and growing our Vintage community at Deal Me In Games

2: Arjan (Ravager Shops) 9 54.67 66.67 48.19
3: Rutger (UR Delver) 9 54.67 60 49.52
4: Gijsbert (Fenton Oath) 9 54.67 50 51.52
5: Aernout (Goblins) 4 60 28.57 54.86
6: Koos (Landstill) 0 60 18.18 54.86
We had six players so we played a round-robin. I played Ravager Shops for the first time in my life, won 2-0 vs Delver, Goblins and Landstill, and lost 1-2 vs both Oath and Shops.
Gijsbert (playing Oath) got me with a quick Tinker against a mulligan to four cards in game 1, and a turn 1 Oath, turn 2 Engineered Explosives for my Grafdigger’s Cage in game 3. In my third game against Allard (also playing Shops), I screwed up the math when I had a Ravager, multiple Ballistas and a Hangarback, and he had a Ravager, multiple Ballistas and a Revoker naming Ballista.
Workshop is a hell of a drug.
