Until I hear otherwise, I have no problem with either of those topics.
Obviously counterfeits can be a tricky subject, but if you keep the topic of a thread about how to identify them, I think that could be a good community resource.
I have one small gripe. The username and picture at the top of each post, not at the side as in a traditional forum. The conversation doesn't flow as much in this format as it does in a traditional forum where the text of posts follows one after the other after the other. Also maybe I'm just a grump, but I like the traditional forum styling better than this new bubbly pastel colored look.
I imagine links to regular Twitch streamers of Vintage and links to YouTube channels with Vintage content could be useful for new players. I know some websites that have Twitch links can even show if the streamer is online currently.
oh man, you used the code block for code. That's pretty exciting.
NodeBB plugin existing obviously drops the dev effort here dramatically. If I can input a specific list of streamers, I'm not too worried about checking the stream title, there are only 4 or 5 regular vintage streamers now, and if there are more, it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask them to register with TMD first
Maybe an icon to "unfollow" a thread on the main update screen. You have tons of white space to the left, maybe a swipe function or x button to cancel it. For instance, if you have no interest in b/r discussions (this is just an example, I happen to enjoy them), but know that the b/r thread will have a ton of updates, unfollowing it might be nice, especially for the people that love having an empty landing page :)
@krauserkrauser no worries! I added a subboard under vintage community
I should be able to save all of the old threads, too, in the archive, there's just some technical trouble with the old site for now, but the data should all be safe and recoverable
