@Griselbrother I was not offended by your post (it wasn't even offensive imo) but just wanted to clarify some things from my own perspective. I acknowledge that I am surely one of those with a "uninspiring" deck (Sylvan Mentor) but please bear in mind that some of us are still very much learning modern vintage and are not familiar enough with a broad range of decks to confidently bring them to a tournament. Moreover, I at least do not have unlimited funds to immediately spend on building a wide variety of decks. To me it seems that no matter how many Vintage staples you have bought, any venture into new archetype would set you back another 200-300 tix so it's a slow process of building a collection.
Thank you for running an awesome event today! I had an absolute blast, and to those in the area who have not attended one of these events at this store I would strongly encourage you to do so the next time they run one.
