"Symposium of the Society of Flying Men", a proper boozy Old School tournament on Saturday, April 22 in San Francisco's Union Square.

Venue: Golden Gate Taproom (449 Powell St, SF) is centrally located in Union Square near Powell and Montgomery St BART stations. It's a three-level bar with ample arcade games, Pool, Foosball, Skeeball, etc for downtime if your aggro mirror match ends early.
Structure: This will be a tournament with Swiss pairings. In lieu of top 4/top 8, we will play Swiss + 1 rounds (e.g. 5 rounds for 8-16 players, 6 rounds for 17-32 players). We will play timed 50 minute rounds. When time is called, any active games continue with 5 additional turns (including the current turn). If no one wins at the end of the 5th turn, the game is a draw.
If you are playing The Deck and your match ends in a draw, you must buy your opponent a drink.
If you and your opponent are both playing The Deck and your match ends in a draw, together you and your opponent must buy a round of drinks for everyone else.
Prizes: Please bring one Old School card from your collection to contribute to the prize pool. It does not need to be anything valuable. All participants will sign all the prize cards. Prizes will be drafted at the end in order by final standing.
Rules: No proxies. Only actual printing from legal sets or equivalent reprints with old border, same art, non-foil are permitted. Collector's Edition and International Collector's Edition are permitted. If you need to borrow something for the event, post here and someone will likely help you out.
Legal Sets: Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Revised, Arabian Nights, Antiquities, Legends, The Dark, Fallen Empires.

Chaos Orb errata:
1, Tap: Choose a nontoken permanent on the battlefield. If Chaos Orb is on the battlefield, flip Chaos Orb onto the battlefield from a height of at least one foot. If Chaos Orb turns over completely at least once during the flip, and lands resting on the chosen permanent, destroy that permanent. Then destroy Chaos Orb.
