Eternal Weekend / Vintage Champs thread

Champs is next weekend. Who's gonna be there, where are you coming from, plans in Pittsburgh, etc etc?

Austin is sending 9 people to Eternal Weekend this year, of whom 5 will be playing in Vintage Champs. There's looking to be a solid contingent from Houston, too. Many of us will be wearing Lhurgoyf shirts - come say hi!

(@Brass-Man if this should be in the Tournaments section, my bad!)

I will be coming from Milwaukee, WI, and playing in both main events.

I will be there was well, driving down from the snowy wilds of Canada on the 31st and leaving on the 5th. I am playing in both main events (Some flavour of Paradoxical Outcome in Vintage and RG Lands in Legacy)

Got a group of 4 coming from the space coast in Florida all playing both events (3 powered, 1 budet).

Plans to hit up the casino and walk around a lot. Only group goal for the event is do better than everyone else in the group. (Trash talk is real big)

driving from chicago, picking up power on site. first i've owned since i sold the nyse lotus

Sweet, can't wait to see/lose to everyone!

In addition to the Lhurgoyf shirts mentioned above, be on the lookout for Texans wearing this:

Sadly, sonce 2006 Ive had to only miss 2 championships: 2007 and 2011. 2018 makes my third miss. Wife and I are buying a house and with SCGCon in July, I couldn’t justify another flight/5 day hotel/airBnB stay in order to play magic.

Truthfully, I don’t even mind missing. Format is attrocious with unrestricted Outcome.

@13nova Well, at least that frees up 9th and 10th place for other people.

@13nova Outcome is the only reason I even like Vintage right now. Mentor needs to be banned along with all of the delve spells. We will see how it all plays out.

There was like two or three Xerox decks in the top 30 of the last Vintage challenge. The meta looks very healthy; with like 4-5 competitive blue decks and nothing standing out as the very best deck.
