Eternal masters roughly one month away, where's the hype (and further spoilers)?

I was praying for the Portal 3K staples, along with zendikar fetches and Masques staples (unmask, misdirection) for online. The Masques cards may yet come, but I'm done holding my breath for portal in this set.

Am I crazy to say I like the new sensis top art better than the old?

No, this art, like most of the new arts, are pretty sweet.

The India Jones Gamble is my favorite. Can't wait to get foils for my Legacy Lands list (that is otherwise 100% foil)

@p3temangus I'm a fan of all of the new art. It's gorgeous. I do like original card frames (online,) but I'll probably swap to these versions simply because the art is superior.

@Khahan Nope, no reserved list for Karakas. Also no reserved list for Mana Drain. It seems unlikely to me that drain would be in this set, but who knows. If they continue the eternal masters cycle like they did with MM2, then I believe at some point Drain gets reprinted.

Unlikely that Mana Drain gets reprinted at Rare, I'd say it's a no-go for this year.

would be a blunder to put drain at rare. Mana Drain is very broken in limited.

With both Worldgorger and Animate Dead in the set, I feel like they would have to put some kind of X spell in the set to act as a finisher for limited play...

I would have said for sure Natural Order and Berserk as mythic for green, but with all the elves revealed so far I'm now guessing glimpse. Also we need another multicolor mythic other than dack. Pheldagriff ftw? Also no Stoneforge without reprinting equipment. Still going with Land Tax as second white Mythic.

I would have bet money that Mana Drain was going to be reprinted at mythic rare, and that the P3K rares were getting reprinted. Seeing Vamp means there's no Seal, when do we know that there's no Drain?

@Prospero The Blue Mythics so far are Jace and Force of Will. It's possible Blue has three mythics this set but I think most people are assuming 2 each for the colors, 2 artifact, 2 Lands, and 1 Gold Mythic for 15 total (which is what MM15 had with the same number of cards). If this assumption holds, it looks like Mana Drain isn't returning as I doubt they would print it at rare (it would be completely bonkers for Limited).

If they spoil a 3rd blue mythic and it isn't mana drain, it's not on the list.

They just judge promoed the card. Althought they also recently judge promoed dualcaster mage (what a terrible card).

I'm still waiting for Mana Vault and Winter Orb to get spoiled. They have new art online that hasn't been printed in paper.

@Serracollector I do think Dark Ritual will be included in the set, either that or cabal ritual. I expect there will be some storm deck to draft in the limited format.

We can confirm no zendikar fetches in eternal masters.

Karakas is card 240, Maze of Ith is 241. This means no marsh flats, which would come between them, so no zendikar fetches.

For lands I think port is mythic 2.

Green I think gets two of natural order, berserk, glimpse.

White could get sfm or land tax, both of which could be ridiculous in draft.

Gonna be cool to see though.

I would bet money that the special card revealed tonight on the VSL is going to be mana drain. It would have to be a card that deeply represents vintage to be exclusively spoiled tonight.
