I wanted an aggro deck that I would find fun and I built this.

      Deck
      4 Subtlety
      4 Murktide Regent
      4 Delver of Secrets
      1 Mox Sapphire
      1 Black Lotus
      2 Vapor Snag
      1 Ancestral Recall
      1 Time Walk
      1 Dig Through Time
      1 Treasure Cruise
      2 Force of Negation
      4 Force of Will
      1 Misdirection
      2 Flusterstorm
      6 Island
      1 Scalding Tarn
      2 Misty Rainforest
      2 Flooded Strand
      1 Polluted Delta
      4 Preordain
      1 Brainstorm
      1 Ponder
      1 Strip Mine
      1 Gush
      4 Wasteland
      1 Mystical Tutor
      2 Thought Scour
      1 Mental Misstep
      1 Mystic Sanctuary
      1 Gitaxian Probe
      1 Daze
      1 Ratchet Bomb

      Sideboard
      4 Null Rod
      4 Soul-Guide Lantern
      3 Blue Elemental Blast
      1 Chalice of the Void
      3 Steel Sabotage

I do not think it is completely tuned but this version is playing well and I just went 3-1 in the Mythic Society event. I mis-played against Dredge and could have done a bit better.

For you mono blue mages out there take a look. I know the Blue Red version is somewhat more aggro but this deck is surprising fun to play.

@moorebrother1 Did you ever have issue with the 6 cascade spells, as in not having enough grave fodder? That's A lot of pitch spells, would having a one of Jace or ninja of deep hours or something to give you continuous draw be a consideration? No snapcaster in monoblue aggro feels icky. But I may be biased. Snapcaster into Ninja, into Snapcaster has won me quite a few games with this archetype.

@john-cox All of the preordains are there. The deck runs off of 2 blue mana and getting to 4 is a nice to have for Subtlety. Sometimes a random Strip Mine will mess you up. But overall it's been solid.

@serracollector The 6 fetch lands, 5 waste effects and 2 thought scours fill the yard very fast. You are often empty handed with this deck because the strategy is similar to Legacy Delver where you get your threat down and protect it at all cost while disrupting your opponent.

I have had plays will I pitch to cast Subtlety to keep a threat off the board and I get lethal in 2 turns. The deck is not good on card advantage you are prioritizing your threat and adding enough disruption to win.

I am not a grinder or trophy chaser but this deck has made me want to play at a higher level. I'd like some feedback from the blue aggro players out there.

Is Daze good here? Based on the meta, I'm not sure Daze does much, I tried them before and I was disappointed. Is there a strategy around using Daze to manage tempo?

Are there other good blue creatures to run here? Delver and Murktide are my win cons and they do a great job but I need a mid-range flexible creature like True name nemesis but playing 3 drops is a bit tough. Also TTN is horrible in Vintage. Any good suggestions?

Daze #2 is probably good since you are happy to operate on 2 mana sources, the free counter is relevant when you slam a regent (and daze feeds it) it will be hard to play more without the 4x brainstorm legacy players have to shuffle islands back in.

Maybe a stormwing entity to do a bad impression of regent without taxing the gy too much. The only problem is it requires three mana sources

@moorebrother1 I still suggest testing some number of Snapcasters/Ninja's. I understand Snappy might be counter intuitive to the massive Delve plan, so maybe it isn't great here, but Ninja of Deep Hours can turn an unflipped Delver into 2 dmg and draw a card, and will do so more often than you think.

As far as other options to test off the top of my head:

                    Guilded Drake/Waterfront bouncer
                    Magus of the Unseen
                    Cloud of Fairies
                    Spellstutter Sprite
                    Phantasmal Image

I believe all these are mostly meta dependant tho, so will depend on that and testing to see what works. Best of luck! I have enjoyed BBS in all it's forms from Ophidian/Superman to Delver, and hope you do also.

I think the best matchup for daze is vs the bazaar decks, and vs other decks I prefer counters like fluster/mindbreak trap/force of negation. So which you play I think mostly relies on what matchups you'd like to focus on.

Unforutnately mono blue doesn't get great threats in a deck like this, but the best one is almost certainly brazen borrower. It's a fast evasive clock, a good tempo card, and gives you more outs to things like marit lage that you otherwise are pretty cold to. The other option I'm a big fan of is thieving skydiver, because it's an absolute house vs shops and a decent body with upside vs other decks, but I think brazen is probably better.

Unrelated, I'm glad to see someone playing subtlety in a tempo deck in vintage, I've been wanting to try that but haven't had the time to try and build it.

@serracollector Thanks for the recommendation. I tried Rishadon Dockhand and Tide Shaper. They were Ok, and I am still testing the Dockhand. The issue is tempo. 2 drops and cards requiring 3 mana really hurt tempo.
