Site upgrades and maintenance have been back-burnered for me, and I haven't been able to follow the highs and lows of the format too closely for a while.
I know activity has been pretty light here on TMD-proper, most newer players are spending time in newer online communities, and the old guard keeps getting older. But even though I haven't been too involved in actual Vintage matches lately, I still care about you folks
.So for everyone still kicking around - how are you doing? Are you getting what you want out of the site? If not, is there any way I can help? If you're reading this, this is for you.

@brass-man I still check in daily but there’s not really anywhere to play paper vintage. I don’t really get the same satisfaction from mtgo and so I feel left out of meta shifts.

I don't know if this is possible. But if there was some way of putting a metagame tracker banner. Maybe grabbing deck names of the top few decks from another site. That would be really helpful.

@john-cox this might be possible if one of those aggregator sites has a public API. I can look into it, but I'm not sure what's out there.
Another possibility, if one/some of the site regulars want to maintain a list of important decks in a thread or dedicated subforum, I can sticky it or make a banner for it. I wouldn't trust my own ability to maintain an accurate decks-to-beat section right now

There is a tournament tomorrow at one of the shops. I have about six "new" decks that I have proxied out. Not sure how to play a single one of them!
Might go and check it out with the lady and see what decks are being played.
TMD is still my home. We road the wave for a long time. Very satisfied with what we accomplished here back in the day.

@brass-man I check this site everyday, I check Discord twice a week, and I look for youtube content about once a week. The format is healthy but I personally can only take so much MTGO so I play in spurts.
I am really waiting for paper events to fire again and engage with players face to face that is the part of the community that I enjoy the most.
I miss the content and articles from some of the old guard that was posting here before but have not posted in a longtime. Voices like Steve Menendian @Smmenen and Brian Kelly and others. I really appreciate the work that Joe Dyer is doing over at MTG Goldfish. I love the work that Justin Gennari @IamActuallyLvL1 is doing, and he is a true asset to the Vintage community. Vintage also gets some love from a few podcasts out there like The Eternal Glory podcast, Leaving a Legacy, and Eternal Durdles but those are all mainly Legacy casts that has some Vintage updates from time to time.
I'm not sure how we have more conversation on the site. I try to write posts to engage in conversation and most of the time I feel like I'm failing. I won't stop trying but I do not have the time to sit and write lengthy articles with tons of data points. I want to discuss strategy and innovation.
The promise of apps/sites like Discord is that you get more voices but I feel that the opposite may actually be true.
I come here is feel some since of a community but if I'm being honest it has been fading and it is noticeably less of what it used to be. I'm hoping that will turn around as we get out of Covid and people come back together.
