8/7 Long Island Classic M:tG Report

  • It was a great day for a new format on Long Island yesterday, as 10 guys came to duke it out for an English Mana Drain.

The field was a mix of some great (old) decks, with two TPS, 5CStax, Tog, two Suicide Black decks, BBS, MaskNaught and two other decks I can't remember off the top of my head.

In the end, Roland Chang beat Greg Fenton in the finals of the first event! Congrats to both Roland and Greg!

I ran an updated BBS list to an uninspiring, and thoroughly medicore, 1-3, but I had more fun going 1-3 than I've had playing in a long time.

I'm working with The Comic Book Depot to schedule the next Classic event, which will fire sometime in September. Once I have a date, I'll share it.

    See you guys soon!

What does bbs stand for? I remember using bulletin board services back before AOL or Netscape were big.

I'm glad your event went well. I'll play it sometime provided someone lends me a deck.

  • @Islandswamp BBS stands for Blue BullShit. Sounds good!
