I know nothing about the strategic relevancy of Burn in Vintage. However, your fetchlands should be four Wooded Foothills and two Windswept Heath if nothing else changes. They are currently objectively wrong.

nO tOKENS - jUST dICE.

This, but with d10s so you can tap them to keep the board state clean.

I noticed Pitch Dredge jumped back and forth between Leyline of the Void and Ravenous Trap for the same reasons listed by everyone else. Leyline of the Void is solid in Dredge because it greatly reduces the number of creatures the opponent can use to break Bridge from Below. However, there were lists for a while that used Ravenous Trap since you could still make use of it if you drew it for the turn or off of a Bazaar of Baghdad activation. Both have their merits, but it seems Leyline of the Void is winning out more often.

"The internet as a whole" means more than just us idiots. Middle-aged women talking shit about Lifetime reality TV stars don't want to use bulletin boards, and they probably outnumber vintage players 1000:1.

I'd be interested to hear how many active users this place has. @Brass-Man ?

The downturn in TMD content could be because the internet, as a whole, is moving away from bulletin boards towards Facebook and Reddit for discussion. Even the big dogs like MTGSalvation and The Source are slowly dying away.

I was halfway out the door the last time I posted, but with the RNA printings I'm sucked right back in. Lavinia, and many of the other additions, have added a breath of fresh air to the metagame. I just hope my local paper events get reinvigorated because of it.

@baishuu off of 4 specific cards (one of which most decks don't run in Lotus Petal)? That is most decidedly NOT a thing if you are a deck designer at all. That is an "oops I have it" kind of thing, not a "I can reliably do this" kind of thing. People were comparing this card to Chalice @0 earlier and I'm just trying to point out that that will NOT be its function most of the time. Moxen are going to have their moment in the sun on turn 1 more than likely most of the time. Where I see this being interesting is in stopping later game topdecked moxen or tutors for Lotus being as powerful.

I don't think dressing me down just because you said "a thing" to mean "a reliable thing" wins you any arguments or respect. "Do unto others", etc. You're no better than that Greg guy on the Facebook group that called everyone pathetic for not playing City in a Bottle.

Also, for the record, your example of Lavinia not being "a thing" or "a reliable thing" or a "Stormanimagus is the authority on this thing" fails to account for Time Walk (virtual turn one) and Mox Opal. Hell, Paradoxical Outcome seems perfectly built right now to make turn 1 Lavinia a "Baishuu is providing examples thing".

Why do people continue to mention turn 1 Lavinia like that is a thing?! Are you all mental?!! You can literally only do that with turn 1 mox pearl, mox sapphire, lotus petal or black lotus. That is it. She isn't going to be entering the battlefield turn 1 that often. Jeez.

That sounds like it’s a thing.

@juice-mane Given a long enough timeline, the best deck will eventually be comprised of 75 restricted cards. It's the nature of the format. Luckily, for now, the printing of Lavinia, Azorius Renegade is powerful but not the killing blow to the format. She's just forces adaptation.

I can't think of a single deck that she doesn't do something against. If Ravager Shops on the draw is her worst showing, landing her against a first turn Foundry Inspector still removes the line of turn two Inspector into a pile of free Ravagers and Revokers. It's not backbreaking, sure, but the beauty in this card is this incremental usage against the entire Vintage spectrum...

...and she pitches to Force of Will.
