@DeaTh-ShiNoBi I'd LOVE to see an extensive article written about that kind of subject. I feel there's been quite some time since anyone tried to re-evaluate strategies like that in a good written piece.
@Khahan I just noticed that this was also stated in the release notes: "If you control multiple As Foretolds, you may cast one spell for each of them paying 0." I'm gonna try some decks with As Foretold+Ancestral visions to see how it fares. If it turn out to be only good enough as a "for fun" card then so be it, no harm in trying and for fun is also fun ; )
Does any one know if there could be some copyright trouble if i publish online those old Duellist numbers (partial or whole) ? I do not plan to do any money or whatever with them, just to make them available to the comunauty.
Duelist is still under copyright by WotC. If you're doing something other than just dumping the articles (eg, writing a commentary about the article), you may fall under fair use. Either way, there's bunches of scans of Duelist available online, indicating that it's unlikely you'll get hit with a copyright complaint.
Sooo i have been testing this as a one of in a U/B key/vault outcome list. Its a pretty far break from the conventional lists i see people playing these days, but i think the card can have a place in many combo control lists. I had a chance to test it at a local event and went undefeated in the Swiss. As for Whir itself, the card won me the game outright 3 times on the day and pitched to force a few more (which i think is a pretty good track record for a one of at a small tourney). I can say the card is at least solid but i cant help feeling that there arnt better cards to be playing. I enjoyed the utility of Whir and am playing many one-of artifacts in the main and SB to take advantage of this. I would say if u r playing transmute artifact it is a strict upgrade, so there's that. Just my thoughts :)
