@zylvorak sorry for the spam... Kinda new to post. But is the reply or quote buttons the only way to post? What if I just want to give an update? What do I click to open the window where to type the text with no reply quotes etc? Just a normal plain message? One more post to add to the bottom of this topic? Sorry for the bad English too, but I do my best!
@yakuzaxrock dude idk why but I love your list maybe because I love drawing cards? I'm not that good at magic and I'm not that good at vintage neither but tonight I'll do my best to pilot your list to the greatest record possible! I'm gonna play it on Cockatrice tho so idk how much relevant my score might be. Prolly zero. But who cares. I know I'll enjoy this night! See you later with the update results man. Keep the bazaar rolling!
@ydl I like the viashino but I think he is not good enough as artifact hate nowadays.
For 3 mana there are better solutions. Since thorn has been restricted I think rack and ruin is better in that slot. It's 2x1 and the fact that is instant is very good vs those tangle wires.
What I don't like about viashino is that you are taping 3 and passing without doing anything. They could revoke it kill with ballista etc.
You could even try the 1 cmc spell with replicate which I don't remember the name but in a monoR deck it's quite good.
@bazaarofbaghdad My grandpa always said
"2 are better than 0"
What a wise man he was.
I think we all here can agree on the fact that 4 copies are easier to find rather than 2. So, I don't get your point. What are you trying to say? Or maybe you where just suggesting a better idea? Because I can't find it in your post.
I love that name
Mana Drain in hand, drop 2nd blue source, or drop Library and try to start engine? Same with Jace TMS, say a hand with Mana Crypt, 2 fetch, 2 LOA, Jace and X, do you LOA, or go for turn 2 Jace?
Mox, Oath, Orchard, double LOA. Turn 1 Oath, or Library Engine?
Thats a decition you make based on what deck you are playing and wich other cards you are holding.
Id say anyway most of the time you want to open with the library and pass. If it gets wasted then you have a plan b anyway like in the oath example. Ill just keep my bomb in hand and try to get more ca until im sure ill just stick it later on.
The mana drain example is a bit more complex.
Am i playing a combo deck? Wich one? Do i have missteps? Fow? If drain is my only counter and im playing a deck that can just win if i pass with no UU open you are laying down that fetchland instead and go for the library next turn. If im playing vs shops and i got no hate or am afraid about a big bomb they could drop and im not sphered out im dropping fetch and drain their threat. If im playing shops and i got no basics and a waste could screw my game im leading with library as a wasteland bait. Who cares about ca when you cant cast them. Possibilities are infinite its your judgment in every given scenario to give you the answer.
Dack is still a good card imo.. Like if you are playing vs blue and it lands trust me you are really ahead. You will be stealing a mox as soon as it hits and thats HUGE. Even if he dies afterwards if it was a sapphire thats GROSS. And if it was an off color moxen and they had to bolt it abrade it w.e is still worth. Pure ca . and if he survives and gets you to filter 2 cards next turn thats virtual ca in a deck with delve plus discarding those blanks in your hand and drawing 2 more cards is good. Dack is just a very good pw imo. And thats in the mus where he dsnt shines. Playing shops? Of course im not dropping him into a ballista and tryng to steal a sphere... Thats a extreme but i want to make the point.. You play him carefuly. Along with other hate pieces. And the oppo has to have an answer... You say it might not be good bc of ravager ballista revoker. I say shops players HAD to play those cards to stay competitive. It dsnt make dack bad at all. They have to have those cards to NOT lose. Id keep playing at leats 1 maindeck dack in any blue red deck with dtt and or cruise. I actually run 2 in my lists that support him but maybe just bc i love him so much.
Appart from what has been said by guest i would only say that i dont really like the balance in a landstill deck.
Balance is for sure a VERY powerful card but i think you need a deck with all the moxen and fast artifact mana to make it worth. Also standstill is a control deck. You not only are holding the cards in your hand but you are drawing alot and will be most of the time ahead in CA making balance even worse. If you have it as a 2 mana sweaper id recomend to change it for verdict instead. I actually think is not that bad , even if i rather just add the forth plow or another snapy instead. Cheers.
@BobbyVictory ok. So you dont care if its permited or not. Just want to know if is ethical or not. See? This is the problem because the answer could be yes or no depending on who you ask. We all have different points of view and the same scenario generates infinite outcomes depending on the observer. So again, was it ethical? You will never get an absolute answer for this. Dont feel alone youll find plenty of people thinking like you. But dont be surprised neither when you find people with the opposite idea. But guess what. If you ask is it allowed? You will get the same answer. Is it within the rules?
Now, if you want the rules to be changed or rivisited thats a totally different topic. The world is plenty of "unfair" things that are supported by the law. Deal with it. Move ahead. Or change the rules.
@Khahan they are different rounds whats surprising about the fact some1 approach them differently? I dont understand you.
In the first round he has everything in front and he could make it. In the other one he has nothing to win except the personal pride so he can laugh at his opponents face and say i dont care you got more points i bet you bitch. Ego is dangerous. And often is better to not listen to him.
